Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the WebElf website at webelf.ai and the WebElf service (together, the "Service"), provided by Adventis Intelligence ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

1. What the Service is

WebElf designs, builds and hosts websites for small businesses using a combination of AI systems and human oversight, and, on plans that include it, performs ongoing work such as publishing new pages and articles and making technical improvements aimed at search visibility. You can request changes to your site in plain language through the Service.

Search rankings, traffic and leads depend on many factors outside our control. We work to improve your site's visibility but do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic level or business result.

2. Enquiries

Leaving your email on our site is not a purchase. A member of our team will contact you to discuss next steps, plans and pricing before anything is charged.

3. Plans, payment and cancellation

• Plans are billed monthly in advance at the price shown when you subscribe, plus applicable taxes. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
• Chat edit credits included in a plan are added each billing period; unused credits roll over for one month. Top-up credits are one-off purchases and do not expire while your plan is active.
• You may cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. Your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. We do not refund partial months except where required by law.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes take effect at your next renewal after the notice period.

4. Your content and your site

• You keep ownership of the business information, text, images and other material you give us ("Your Content"). You grant us a licence to host, copy, adapt and display Your Content as needed to provide the Service.
• Website content we create for you (text, layout and page structure) is yours to use for your business for as long as you have an active plan, and you may export it on plans that include code access. The underlying WebElf platform, templates, software and designs remain ours.
• You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the rights to use it, that it is accurate (including prices, claims and credentials), and that it complies with the law.
• We review AI-written content with safeguards against invented facts, but you must check your site before relying on it, and tell us about anything that needs correcting. We will fix it promptly.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, including content that infringes others' rights, is defamatory, promotes illegal activity, or attempts to manipulate search engines in ways that breach their guidelines. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practical.

6. Domains and hosting

We host your site on infrastructure operated by our providers and keep it online with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If you connect your own domain, you remain responsible for owning and renewing it. If your plan ends, we will keep your site available for 14 days so you can export or migrate it, after which it may be removed.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms, if we stop offering the Service (with at least 30 days' notice and a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period), or where required by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, tell you by email where we have it. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes will be heard in the courts of British Columbia, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
